Rapid Response Hotline

Educating Immigrant Families on Their Legal Rights

Our Mission

The Immigration Task Force Monterey County is a group of concerned individuals and organizations who share the belief that our constitution guarantees specific inalienable rights to everyone living on U.S. soil, regardless of documentation status. We seek to inform local immigrant families of their legal rights, help them prepare in case of detention by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or other agencies, connect them with legal resources, and help defend them against any violation of those rights. We seek to build a strong community coalition based on mutual respect and dedicated to ensuring that all immigrants may live here in peace and without fear.

If you are concerned about civil rights, you can make a significant difference in the lives of friends and neighbors living in our county. We have many volunteer opportunities. Join us today!

We are an all-volunteer organization. We rely on donations to sustain the Monterey County hotline as well as the creation and production of materials that help us present Know Your Rights programs, Child Safety sessions, Rapid Response training, and much more. Your donation is 100% tax deductible.

"My fellow Americans, we are and always will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too.”
– Barack Obama
